Highlighting key partnerships and showcasing innovative print solutions at Hunkeler Innovation Days 2025
We will be exhibiting the Jet Press 1160CFG, which will feature alongside a number of leading integrated inkjet solutions as we demonstrate how strategic partnerships are helping to add even more value for customers.
In line with the Hunkeler Innovation Days 2025 theme, ‘Connect’, we will partner with several market-leading vendors to demonstrate the full capabilities of our inkjet solutions. Keep reading to find out more about the Jet Press 1160CFG at Hunkeler.
The Jet Press 1160CFG
The Jet Press 1160CFG will take centre stage on the stand. Launched at drupa 2024, the Jet Press 1160CFG is a high-speed full-colour continuous feed inkjet printer. The printer is equipped with a unique and newly developed ‘Paper Stabiliser’, designed following vigorous R&D and analysis of paper characteristics during high-speed continuous feed printing, in addition to our long-standing heritage within inkjet printing.
The conditioning unit enhances productivity, production efficiency, and print and finishing quality by regulating the amount of moisture in the paper before printing. With the enhanced drying technology, the press delivers high-speed printing of 80 metres per minute – even on thick and thin coated paper.
We will showcase the press in collaboration with Hunkeler’s finishing equipment to produce high quality promotional postcards live at the show. Additionally, a joint demonstration with Meccano Tecnica, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of bookbinding equipment, will highlight the possibilities of our inkjet technology for high quality, flexible, short-run book production.
Finally, we will highlight instant switching capabilities between books of varying sizes and pagination, in collaboration with Horizon and their StitchLiner technology.
In addition, we will showcase our integrated inkjet solutions. Integrated inkjet is an approach that custom-integrates an inkjet print engine into an existing press or other print equipment. This greatly expands inkjet flexibility thereby opening new workflow options and more production synergies between inkjet and the wide range of finishing technologies for even more innovative and novel print production strategies.
42K Printbar System
Our inkjet integration experts will be in attendance to demonstrate the many ways this can be done. For example, inkjet can be integrated in place of existing analogue print engines or in addition to analogue print engines. Our inkjet print engines on display at Hunkeler Innovation Days include the 42K Printbar System and the Mini 4300 Printbar System, which can be placed in various locations of the process including in places where finishing alone typically resides. Fujifilm has integration products for a wide range of printing including monochrome, four colour, extended gamut, jettable functional fluids, and spot varnish embellishment.
