Not all print job files are supplied ready to print
Print work often originates from people or organisations that do not have a technical understanding of the printing process. In such situations, received print files arrive in all sorts of formats. Common issues include: designs in Microsoft applications; poor quality PDF files; designs containing RGB images; artwork that is different in size to the print product required. Fixing such issues can be a daily problem, and one that can take a huge amount of time.

Fujifilm’s PressReady workflow contains an armoury of tools to fix such issues automatically. With embedded pre-flighting, the workflow can identify a wide range of issues and take action to solve the problem by converting RGB images to CMYK, resizing pages to the correct dimensions, adding bleed to PDF files, rotating pages in the wrong orientation and doing mundane tasks such as removing blank pages from supplied PDF files.
